Work a nine to five and maybe raise a child or two
Wake up every morning knowing what I'm going to do
Why would I want to have a normal life like that?

What if I could have a standard style of life
Where I saw the world through photographs and television lights
and I read about adventure in the bathroom every night

I guess in some ways that it might be nice
to have a home of comfort every night
and someone every morning at my side
and to not have to experience but be content to fantasize
and only dream about the things I've never known
